Since my childhoood...I was very obessed with Ladoo gopal or Baby krishna .
In my school days I used to attend classes about Bhagawat geeta from Isckon preachers in my school and on krishna janmashtami day...we used to have a big celebrations !!
I used to visit Isckon temple with my family and just to see.....Bal gopal and how he has been dressed ,as I love these cute small dresses,wigs,jewellery that are avaliable in the market which can be used to decorate Brass or silver krishna idol.

Diety Shringar is a special part of Isckon ,In all there celebrations I have observed there creativity and ability to create great outfits for the dieties is really remarkable.

I am sure U all would be love all these colourful diety shringar clothes and accessories. I feel that creativity has no boundaries and devotion plays a key role in creation of this beautiful art!

Last year during the summer we went to Cape cod at Boston .I totally loved the beaches and coastlines.It was totally relaxing and we took a break from the busy life and tension and It was the time to unwind ourselves and feel and looks refreshed.
I got lots of sea shells and paired them with candles and sterilized sea sand and created a Capecod look at feel for my summer parties.

Here I bring another new ethnic home in Texas.This is the Living room pictures of Padma who lives In Plano Texas and she has such deep desire to bring that ethnic look and feel to her living room.She has been living in USA since many years and she loves to decorate her home which reflect Indian design .

After speaking to her..I realized that they have invested a lot on bringing these beautiful furniture from Kalanjali stores in Hyderabad to Texas ,USA.
And Padma also told me that they were lucky ....as the furniture was shipped well with didnt cause any damage...that plays a big role.Here they are enriching her living room.

I am really very impressed with this new form of art which we can use almost anywhere.
These are called wall decals..they are like vinyl stickers which we can stick to the walls and remove them without any hassles if we decide to give a new look to our room

These are great for decorating kids,toddles or infants bedroom,And can also be used in living room,bedroom and we can use candles,pots or green plants to accessories and match the wall art theme.

My blog is Four months old...I totally feel encouraged with the support of my blogger buddies and people who share similar passion like me on interior decoration with "Ethnic Indian style ".I am very happy and excited to share the "Archana Srinivas" home from" Rangdecor blog".I must say..it was her blog and her home that was featured on apartment therapy ..made me start this blog of mine.

And I celebrate the success of my blog.By taking you all for a tour of her beautiful home.Archana's home taught me so many things...on restoring and respecting our old antique furnite and bronze articles and appreciating little things in life.Thanks a lot Archana..you have been so inpirational to so many people in this whole world..virtually.
Your home is a great inspiration to me and many more people in this world.

Here is the front porch ...ie the patio in the case of Archana's home.
They have converted there Patio as they live in a pent house apartment and they gave the look and feel of old indian village home...look and feel.Its so inviting with bright orange coloured walls and antique furniture and doors which looks so similar to one I saw in my grand mothers place.It reminds me of my grand mothers home at Raichur karnataka where I used to visit every summer and there front proch used to look..the same way..as the one in this picture.

Beautiful Patio furniture so lovely and cute..I must appreciate Archana its take a lot to create such great interiors .

Check this living room...the furniture ,wall art,paints and accessories..everything is just simply amazing.

I just loved the swing,Tanjore paintings that they collected during there travel and wooden dolls and indoor plants
Lovely Dinning table and chairs there a perfect match to the other furniture that they have at there home.And that clock..its so cute.

Its been a while I was so busy..that I could not post much of my thoughts here !
But now I am back..As spring is officially here..I was made plans today go for shooping at Home depot and look what I got...
I got some mini potting kits of basil and marigold and 2 plastic pots to plant rose,hibiscus and Basil or Tulasi as we say..It considered an scared and medical too.
I really so eager to see seeds grow fast and fill my patio with nice fragrance and colour.Keep checking to see how my seeds turned out into beautiful flowers!

Hello all,today I am really glad to finally write an article about my first Flickr friend Anuradha Varma which I wanted to write since few weeks now !! She lives in Seattle and I met her on Flickr around 2 months ago..when I my blog was fairly new.when I saw her albums and her photography skills I fell in love with it.I felt she likes to bring Ethnic Indian Decor in her home in America.she likes collecting brass Ganesha idols,and always finds great stuff at Flea markets and she has good collection of Antique silver articles which she has very well incorporated in the decor of her home.Let take a tour of her home now and her collections now.

Anu says she love buddha statues and this one is the focal point of her living room. and she tries to light the lotus tealight every evening. The warmth of the candle and the serene expression on the Buddha gives her a sense of peace and purpose

Today I am so excited to write an article about the most talented person who is a wife and mom of 2 kids and an IT professional and a great artist.I met her on facebook around 2 months ago and I was chatting with her and I felt she is a very friendly person and very confident person.And I was very impressed with her talent of creating beautiful paintings and art work .

A little more about my dear friend ...Aarohi is a self taught artist. What started as an interest in art 15 years ago is now a full fledged profession for this young painter.
She paints in Oil, Acrylics, Watercolor, Pastels and works on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Cardboard, Wood, Fabric. Unlike a lot of artists who prefer to work in one maybe two mediums, Aarohi paints on almost anything.

My Main Door Transformation

Hello to all,
Its been long time that I did not try anything new to transform my main door.According to our Indian tradition main door of the house plays a significance role.People back home daily clean there front porch with water and put rangoli or kolams to invite good luck into there homes.On Festivals we also use colours and make torans made of flowers and mango leaves to start the festival celebrations and to welcome guests too.

When I was In India I always used to visit Dola ri Dhani at Hyderabad rajasthani themed resort and used to enjoy the good food and the ambiance .But visiting Haveli at Jalandhar is my plan on my next visit.I really liked the ambiance and look at the artificial replica of village people and them performing daily chores...It really feels I am in Haryana at my friends place.I visited Jindh..5 yys ago and I have seem similar atmosphere at my friends place too.
